Wedding Photographer in Bucks, Beds, Berks, Hertforshire, Oxfordshire, London and surrounds.
A bit about me...
I am Andrew and have been a professional wedding photographer for over 25 years and like to take more of the reportage style images, which means very natural photography and just telling the story of the day. I am based in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, have a relaxed friendly approach and specialise in stylish modern wedding photography at many popular venues. I love to travel so please do enquire about a wedding in another part of the UK or abroad. A lot of our weddings are now recommendations, which is very pleasing, and I normally work alone or with an assistant - there are a couple of shots below where one of the girls is helping out. An extra photographer is good for different angles too.
I understand that being your wedding photographer is a huge responsibility and privilege. You are trusting us with the biggest day of your lives and with the only thing that will last for years to come. Therefore, it is important that you know exactly what you are going to get on your big day.
I specialise in traditional portraiture and photojournalistic photography. I like to include just a few of those classic images, such as the happy couple and groups of friends and family, that will still appear fresh and timeless in years to come, as well as throwing in some creative and unusual photos to the mix.
Both my assistants and I try to be as unobtrusive as possible and show moments as they naturally unfold so that you can look back on all of those special fleeting moments. We are meticulous about details and want your day to be as memorable as you do.
I also take a number of baby and family portraits and other assignments come up during the year, including pet portraits, Birthday party photography and photos of celebrations & events.
A bit of history...
I started up as a photographer all those years ago, in the days of film, when I was asked to photograph a family wedding. I naturally felt a little apprehensive with the responsibility that held, capturing those important memories for them, but all went well and I enjoyed the experience so much I decided to make a career of it. I studied a Graphic Design Course at Suffolk College and went on to specialise in filming and photography.
I progressed through the film industry, whilst building up my photographic business. This meant I frequently dealt with various celebrities at the BBC and other TV stations. I recently photographed Princess Anne, which was a great pleasure. I was the main photographer at a charity event where she was presenting various riders with rosettes etc. So if you want a Royal photographer..... (only joking)!!!
On the personal front...
I have been married for 19 years to Jackie, who also helps me in the business, on both photo shoots, IT and all the admin involved in making sure the wedding day runs smoothly from the photography point of view. I play badminton and squash and we both love dancing - we do Ceroc (similar to jive). In fact the photo to the left shows us dancing at my Birthday party a little while ago.
I am a bit of a joker at times, enjoying the 'Jaws' photo opportunity at Disneyworld. The last photo was taken by a crew member when I worked on a Countryfile TV programme - basically me with all my sound gear. This of course comes in useful when I am recording the sound of the ceremony and vows if you are interested in one of our Photofilms. I also enjoy skiing, going to the cinema, kite-flying, camping and holidaying abroad (when we get the chance with our busy schedule of weddings etc.)! I hope you like my web site anyway and do contact me for a no-obligation appointment.
